Travel // 10 Travel Photos That Filled My Heart in 2025

This year has felt like a gentle return to myself. I’ve found my way back into blogging, slowly and quietly at first, helped along by my spell-check sidekick (yes, you, ChatGPT). Writing has always been a way for me to process, remember, and savour the good bits of life, and it feels really lovely to be doing it again.

We’ve had some gorgeous travels this year. Some close to home in the UK… windswept dog walks in Dorset, sea-salty mornings in Margate, the kind of simple days that leave you breathing easier. And some further afield too, discovering the soft slow rhythm of Île de Ré and the sunlit coastline of Portugal. Each one has topped up our happy cups in different ways.

So to wrap up the year, I thought I’d share something simple: my ten favourite travel photos from 2025.

Not the most perfect photos.
Just the ones that feel like something.
Joy, light, warmth, stillness.
Little moments that I want to remember.

Here they are…

Looking back at these memories, I’m reminded that travel doesn’t always need to be grand or far-flung to feel meaningful. Sometimes it’s a weekend by the sea with sandy toes and no plans, and sometimes it’s stepping into a completely new culture and letting it stretch you a little. This year has felt like a gentle reawakening of my travel heart, and taking the time to capture it here has been just as joyful. I hope these moments spark something in you too, whether that’s booking a trip, exploring somewhere local, or simply noticing the small lovely things around you.

Here’s to more wandering, more curiosity, and more cup-filling adventures to come.
