Travel // Our Covid-19 Journey in Singapore {2020}

I often forget when I'm sat in my little bubble that our life is very different to most of the world. What feels like 'normal' to us and routine is actually very unique. Whilst covid-19 has effected everyone and the impact has been felt all around the world, but those ripples have been experienced very differently. So I thought I'd share our covid-19 journey so far, it's basically the only 'journey' we'll be taking in 2020.

Travel Review // Staycation Time at Raffles, Singapore {2020}

I'd heard that the iconic Raffles Hotel was open again after its lengthy refurbishment and was offering some really good rates for those staying more than one night. I'd also read good reports from other expats who'd already been and stayed. What an opportunity to stay in this iconic hotel with no other tourists, plus they always do the best Singapore Slings.

Travel // All Aboard for 9 of the World’s Most Exquisite Sleeper Train Journeys {2020}

I've been wanting to share this post for a while, phase two of covid-19 in Singapore has meant a lot more time ferrying the kids around and a bit less 'me-time' or writing time. But today is an uncharacteristically rainy day, so I've put a cardigan on (this only happens twice a year here in …

Travel // Getting Muddy at Bollywood Veggies, Kranji Countryside, Singapore {2019}

Back in England our weekends would be filled with walks in the muddy British countryside. The wellies would always be ready and waiting in the boot room for their next adventure. One thing I've noticed about kids in Singapore is that they just don't get muddy. Our shoes are always clean. So on the bank …

Travel // Why you need to visit Tiong Bahru, Singapore {2018}

Back when we lived in England I fell in love with a little village called Shere in the deepest Surrey Hills. I would visit every few weeks for lunch or a walk around the woodlands with the kids and always a stop at the quintessentially English sweet shop. When we landed in Singapore I was …

Travel // 9 Things to do on a Weekend in Singapore {2018}

We've been fortunate to have lots of visitors this year. It's been such a pleasure showing people around the town we're lucky enough to call home, Singapore. What's been really interesting is watch each of these visitors carve out their own experience and view of Singapore. Each one has had a different experience, my brother …
